"Sleeping baby", plaster with patina

Jean Carriès (1855-1894),
Saint-Amand-en-Puisaye, Stoneware Museum

Fascinated by the look of the surfaces and the patina, he would naturally turn to sandstone. His new fascination would take place in Puisaye, first at Saint-Armand than in Montriveau where he made made many visits.
