Collections from the 12th century to the start of the 20th. Strong points: Flemish and Dutch painting of the 16th and 17th centuries; as well as the works of Michaud and Ziem, 19th century artists born in Beaune. The latter enjoyed an international career as an orientalist painter.

Réouverture du Musée des Beaux-Arts de Beaune

 Le 14 juin 2012, le musée rouvre avec une nouvelle présentation des collections permanentes qui fait la part belle aux acquisitions récentes, notamment une très belle Vierge à l'Enfant, mais aussi aux œuvres restaurées peu connues du public comme le tableau La liseuse attribué à Jean Raoux ou encore le tableau La bénédiction de Jacob attribué à Girolamo Troppa...

Bien entendu, les chefs-d'œuvre du musée sont également à l'honneur, comme les peintures de Félix Ziem  ou la sculpture d'Ondine de A. Préault...

  Fine arts Archeology
Fine Arts: sculpture from the 12th to 19th centuries. Mediaeval pieces illustrating the powerful Burgundy style; famous people (Baron de Joursanvault who was Prud'hon's patron, Monge, Ziem) sculpted by such well-known artists as Prud'hon, Jouffroy and Ségoffin; a masterpiece by Préault, "Ondine".
An Egyptian collection made up of small items including Ushebtis and bronze figures of various divinities.
Flemish and Dutch painting from the 16th to 18th centuries, including The Four Elements from the workshop of Velvet Brueghel.
Major paintings from the 19th centuries with such local talent as Michaud or others with a European reputation such as Ziem, the orientalist painter.

Open every day from 2pm to 6pm. From 1st December to 31 March: Closed on Tuesdays, 25 December and 1st January.

• Full price: 5,40 Euros • Reduced price: 3.50 Euros (students, groups of 10 persons and upwards, young people aged 11 - 18, large families upon presentation of proof • This ticket also provides access to the Wine Museum
