The former archbishops' palace, next to the cathedral of Sens, is gradually taking in and putting into a coherent whole all the collections of Sens. These are the collections of the town of Sens, of the Sens Archeological Society, and of the State (the treasures of the cathedral and of the Bishops' Palace).

The prehistory and protohistory rooms have on display a large amount of material found in the northern part of Yonne, with the extremely rich collection of Gallic-Roman sculptures (steles, mosaics etc) is among the leading ones of Europe.
Since 2002 the Marrey collection has graced the Museums of Sens with furniture, ceramics, Flemish, Dutch and modern paintings, and sculptures.
The Treasure of Sens Cathedral, the largest in France together with that of Sainte-Foy de Conques, has tapestries, cloth and goldsmiths' work.

CEREP(Heritage Research and Study Centre)
CEREP - Sens Museums, created in partnership with the Sens Archeology Society, and connected by agreements with the University of Burgundy and the U.M.R. 5594 (CNRS), is intended to promote teaching and research in the fields of archeology and art history, as well as developing practical training related the museums' topics and to conservation. 		  Casting workshop
The workshop, which was started in 1986, covers all the stages of working with moulds, from taking the imprint to adding the patina. The workshop moulds are taken very precisely from the collections of the Sens museums or other museums. This specialised and unusual work is made possible by the presence of qualified staff.

The Sens Museums offer post cards, guides, exhibition catalogues and scientific works about its heritage, as well as about the many moulds taken from its collections.
