Semur-en-Auxois, musée municipal
The museum of Semur-en-Auxois was created in 1834 and entirely renovated 10 years ago. It owes its originality to the 19th century museum layout that has happily been preserved, which shows the collections off to particular advantage.

Known for its collections of mineralogy, paleontology and its rich archeological material, the Avallon Museum is changing in order to exhibit collections brought together by various the art lovers and artists who created it, and to accept new gifts.
In particular it offers the public works of the painter Georges Rouault, of the goldsmith Jean Després, and of the sculptor Pierre Vigoureux.

Beaune, Musée des Beaux-Arts
Collections from the 12th century to the start of the 20th. Strong points: Flemish and Dutch painting of the 16th and 17th centuries; as well as the works of Michaud and Ziem, 19th century artists born in Beaune. The latter enjoyed an international career as an orientalist painter.

Chalon-sur-Saône, Musée Vivant Denon
The Denon Museum in Chalon-sur-Saône owes its name to a man from Chalon, Dominique-Vivant Denon, draughtsman, engraver, writer, traveller, diplomat, first Director of the Louvre and "Napoleon 1st's Minister of Culture".

Charolles, Musée du Prieuré
The Priory Museum offers a collection of Charolles pottery, pieces of exceptional craftsmanship alongside popular items of an advertising or religious nature. Some forty canvasses by Jean Laronze (1852-1937), a Burgundy landscape artist reflect the feeling of nobility and calm that the landscapes of Saône-et-Loire inspired in him. The Priory Chapel has since 2006 held the collection of sculptures by René Davoine (1888-1962).

Château-Chinon, Musée du Septennat
