Beaune, Musée du Vin de Bourgogne
Created in 1938, the museum was installed in the former Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy (14th-18th centuries), following the works by André Lagrange and Georges Henri Rivière, a musicologist and ethnologist. History of the vine from Antiquity until the 20th century, the work of the vintner and cooper, as well as traditions associated with wine. Tapestries of Lurçat and Tourlière.

Château-Chinon, Musée du Costume
The mansion of the Buteau-Ravizy family, dating from the 18th century, has since 1992 housed a major collection of some 5,000 costumes, the majority of which come from the Dardy collection that had been acquired by the town of Château-Chinon.

Ciry-le-Noble, la Briqueterie
On the site of a former brickworks the Eco-Museum has been established, in cooperation with the Adult Further Education Association (AFPA) of Saône-et-Loire, a combined site and school where there is the intention to restore the buildings and machines. This programme that started in 1996 has facilitated a partial opening of the site to the public, which can find a full size factory with all its machinery and equipment.

Clamecy, Musée d'Art et d'Histoire Romain Rolland
The Clamecy Museum has been entirely renovated since 2005 and has very varied collections, shown off within a well-suited setting. It occupies the former mansion of the Duke de Bellegarde, the house where Romain Roland was born, which belonged to his grandfather, and a modern extension where the visitor enters. Here can be seen contemporary pictures given to President François Mitterrand;Gallic-Roman and Merovingian archeology; paintings and sculpture from the 16th to 21st centuries; an exceptional collection of Charles Loupot posters; old faience; souvenirs of Romain Rolland, and an evocation of floating wood down rivers.

Cosne-sur-Loire, Musée de la Loire

The Loire is suggested in its long-standing activities, such as inland waterways, trade, traditional fishing, landscapes and landscaping. A collection of 20th century paintings, sculptures and pottery rounds of this tour of the Loire.


Cuiseaux, Le vigneron et sa vigne
The annex located within the walls of the chateau of the Princes of Orange has a cellar, barn, residential areas and hangars laid out and furnished to remind us that Cuiseaux was an important wine growing area until the end of the 19th century.

The Perrin de Puycousin Museum of Burgundy Life, located in the cloister of the Bernadine Monastery, provides a collection of rural ethnography (costumes, moveable possessions etc) and urban ethnography (daily life in Dijon from the 18th to the beginning of the 20th centuries).


Ecuisses, Musée du canal
